Office Hours
7:30 – 4:30
Monday–Thursday · Friday until 4:00 PM. Closed weekends and government holidays — after hours, leave a message.

Attendance & Tardies
Absences
ATHS has a strict attendance policy to earn credit: no more than five (5) absences in any nine-week block. By law, students must attend at least 90% of each class session per block to receive course credit. Students absent Monday–Thursday are expected to make up coursework the same week on Flex-Friday. More than five absences? Pick up an attendance appeal form in the office and attach justification (doctor’s note, bereavement, or similar). Students exceeding four absences without making up class time may be placed on an attendance contract, which may include mandatory detention and assigned Friday classes.
Tardies
All time accrued by tardies must be made up by the end of the block or the student risks a dropped grade or lost credit. Late arrivals sign in at the office for a tardy pass. Arrive within 15 minutes of start to earn credit for that class; later than that, the entire class must be made up that same week on Flex-Friday. All students must attend a minimum of 3 classes — schedule flexibility is determined by administration. Ultimately, it is the student’s responsibility to adhere to this policy.
On Campus
Electronics & Contacting Your Student
Cell phones and other electronics may not be used during class time — devices may be confiscated, and in some cases returned only to a parent. Calling or texting a student’s cell in class is strictly forbidden, even for parents: call the front office and we’ll relay the message or bring your student to the phone.
Dress Code
Review the complete dress code in the Student Handbook. Common issues: straps must be at least two fingers wide (or covered by a sweater worn at all times); no displayed undergarments or midriffs; no offensive shirts (drugs/alcohol, gang affiliation, sexual suggestion); no headgear in any building (caps, do-rags, bandannas, hoods, sunglasses, headphones); no displayed colored rags; shorts/skirts below fingertips. Violations mean a dress-code shirt/shorts or a call home for a change of clothes.
Closed Campus & Pick-Up
ATHS is a closed campus — students may not leave between classes; underage students leaving without signing out are truant. Students may only be picked up by people the parent/guardian pre-approved at enrollment (ID may be required; parents can add approved persons anytime). Students 18+ may sign themselves out unless a parent directs otherwise — time missed must be made up, same as the tardy policy.
