Science Class Photos

Microscope Lab

Students in Ms. Luckett's Biology A class looked at all kinds of things in their microscopes today, to include their own hair.

Rat Dissection

On December 14, Mrs. Luckett's Biology students took part in a lab.  Although their were some weak stomachs that day, we're happy to report that no one got sick.
The students did very well and we're certain that this is a day that they'll remember for years to come.
On December 12, the Biology students in Ms. Luckett's class delicately dissected an earthworm.  Who knew there were so many part to an earthworm.
Click the video below to see what the students watched prior to the dissection lab.  NOTE:  This is not an ATHS video - it was used for instructional purposes in the classroom.
On November 15, Mrs. Luckett's Biology students were given "Owl Pellets" (regurgitated balls of fur and bones).  They had to pull them apart and identify the rodent that the owl had eaten.  For extra-credit, some student reconstructed the skeletal remains.
On August 24, the students in Ms. Luckett's Integrated Science class took readings on liquids with different chemical properties and compared data.
