ATHS Blood Drive - 1/27/12Apache Trail High School exceeded their blood
donation goal again on Friday, January 27. A few members from the community, some staff, but mostly students, donated 30 units of blood. Because each donation can help 2-3 hospital patients, their 5 hour blood drive could help up to 90 Arizona hospital patients. -- Way to donate Wolfpack! ATHS would like to thank the community for coming to the blood drive and they look forward to seeing them again. The school is now a regular donation site for the AJ community, with their next blood drive scheduled for May 4th, 8:30am – 1:30pm. |

Message from the United Service to ATHS
To Apache Trail High School,
United Blood Services thanks you for organizing the recent blood drive at Apache Trail High School. Your drive will help to assure that blood is available for patients in need. At the blood drive, 44 lifesaving donors stepped up to donate, resulting in 34 procedures [6 of which were Power Red donations for a total of 40 units] for our community and reaching 136% of your blood drive goal. Your efforts and the support of Apache Trail High School are greatly appreciated and will go a long way toward assuring a strong blood supply, and ultimately saving lives.
Again, thank you for your contribution and ongoing support of the community blood program. I enjoyed working with you and look forward to our next meeting to plan your upcoming blood drive scheduled for Friday, January 27, 2012.
Sincerely,
Meghan Melcher
